We set up a work date that day. Jack followed through on that appointment and handily addressed all three issues in approximately 1 1/2 hours at a very reasonable rate for the work. "EDIT: Okay, so apparently I left this review for Jack's Plumbing and not Jack's Appliance Repair in San Diego. Fine, I am now that old guy on the internet that is confused. Either way, Plumbing Jack let me know about my error, so he's likely also a dedicated business owner with a high level of regard for what people are saying about his work. Good chance that equates to solid plumbing skills too. So give him a try! Jack is what I would call a traditional (aka "Old-school") business owner. He is a decent person, honesty/value driven, communicates superbly and obviously has the skillset required to successfully repair so many types of appliances. This is one of the few 5-star generating businesses that truly hit the mark. He replaced a malfunctioning fan on my GE refrigerator, looked over some other parts, and just like that our Thanksgiving plans were literally back on the table! And did we get taken hostage on price given that this was a "must-fix-now" emergency? Nope. In fact, the price was shockingly lower than I would have expected. Also want to share this. After I initially called Jack and was told his schedule was booked for a few days, I called another place and had a repairman come out. He quoted us $780.00 after looking at the unit for 45 seconds (literally). I was standing right there shaking my head and asking him to inspect more closely. He said, "Why, it is obvious what the problems are." He then told me the parts are out of stock. Then things went from feeling dirty to sleazy. He said his company had a fridge that could be delivered the same day for only $3,499.00. That's when I realized I really screwed up. Never call a repairman who works for company that also has a showroom of appliances for sale. Jack's number is now safely stored in my contacts!"

"Six months ago Jack installed a new kitchen sink and all the piping underneath the sink for us. Last evening, a Friday night, we discovered one of the pipe connections was leaking. At 8:13 PM I sent Jack an email asking that he call me on Saturday morning so I could find out if his work was still under warranty. At 8:42 AM Saturday morning Jack called to tell me that he warrants his work for one year and that he would come to the house in a few minutes. In about 15 minutes he arrived and replaced a short piece of drain pipe and gasket and was on his way. There's nothing more frustrating than plumbing problems over a weekend. "Highly recommend this company. We thought we had a pipe break inside the house. Called Jack's plumbing at 6:30 pm and believed we would be leaving a message. Instead jack answered and based on our description of the issue he reassured us that it was not a leak but a circ-pump valve issue. He told us that he could come out the next morning and he arrived on time. Surprisingly the water issue had resolved (dirt in the line). He stayed for 30 minutes and tested various areas of the house. Told us to call if we had any further issues and DID NOT CHARGE us for the visit. Can't say enough. He clearly spelled out the needed repair and cost beforehand. While doing the work he also identified, cleaned up and repaired a secondary problem with improperly installed dryer exhaust ducking in the walls. "Six months ago Jack installed a new kitchen sink and all the piping underneath the sink for us. Last evening, a Friday night, we discovered one of the pipe connections was leaking. At 8:13 PM I sent Jack an email asking that he call me on Saturday morning so I could find out if his work was still under warranty. At 8:42 AM Saturday morning Jack called to tell me that he warrants his work for one year and that he would come to the house in a few minutes. In about 15 minutes he arrived and replaced a short piece of drain pipe and gasket and was on his way. There's nothing more frustrating than plumbing problems over a weekend. We appreciate the quick response."

"Highly recommend this company. We thought we had a pipe break inside the house. Called Jack's plumbing at 6:30 pm and believed we would be leaving a message. Instead jack answered and based on our description of the issue he reassured us that it was not a leak but a circ-pump valve issue. He told us that he could come out the next morning and he arrived on time. Surprisingly the water issue had resolved (dirt in the line). He stayed for 30 minutes and tested various areas of the house. Told us to call if we had any further issues and DID NOT CHARGE us for the visit. Can't say enough. "We had a leak in the main water line in our house. The leak also damaged dryer exhaust vent ducking (rusting). I called Jack and he came and started work the same day. He clearly spelled out the needed repair and cost beforehand. While doing the work he also identified, cleaned up and repaired a secondary problem with improperly installed dryer exhaust ducking in the walls. He completed the work in a very timely manner (2 days) and charged a fair amount. He is knowledgeable, professional and cordial. Should I need help with plumbing I will certainly call him again."
